2nd Shoot/Re-shoot

Today (01/12/13) we filmed the outdoors scene, the hallway scene, and re-shot some kitchen shots due to continuity. In tomorrows lesson we will begin editing our footage.

Shoot 30/11/13

Today, we began shooting our film sequence from 12 - 4 pm. We decided when making our shooting schedule and shot list that we would film all of the kitchen shots first, as this was the longest and most important scene. Tomorrow (Sunday 01/12/13) we will film the out door scenes, the hallway, and any shots we need to re-shoot.

Everything went well on set, although there was one continuity problem we found when watching back the footage; the shots at the beginning of the sequence are a lot lighter then the ones at the end due to the short winter days. We will try to edit this out, as we can't re-shoot the darker scenes (because of lack of props such as the fake blood, and even more continuity problems). Over all the shoot went well, and we finished with a spare hour on our hands.

In today's lesson, we firstly blocked out a few shots of our film in front of the class, and described the shot types we're planning on using and their effect.  In the second half, we went off and practised the shots to see if they work well and to prepare ourselves for filming at the weekend.
